About Jasmin

A Chicago native, I am a dedicated French horn musician and instructor passionate about sharing my love for music. Holding a Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I studied under the Daniel Grabois of the Meridian Arts Ensemble, and currently pursuing a Master of Music in Horn Performance at DePaul University, I bring a strong foundation and ongoing dedication to my craft. My academic journey also includes a certificate in Chicano/Latino Studies, enriching my perspective and understanding of diverse musical influences.

As a Waypoint Music Music Camp instructor, most recently in Grove City, OH, I bring real-world teaching experience to my studio. Having grown up as the only classical musician in my family, I understand the challenges of navigating unfamiliar musical territory. This experience fuels my belief in a judgment-free learning environment where students can explore the joy of classical music and the French horn.

More About Jasmin

As a bilingual musician with deep roots in my Mexican heritage, I am passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive space for all. Music has the power to touch every soul, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, ability, or economic background. I am committed to making music accessible to everyone and believe that a judgment-free learning environment is essential for fostering a lifelong love of music.

When I'm not making music, I'm baking, painting or taking a nap.
